This "Live Room" studio features a heated
granite/marble floor of hand cut natural stone, quarried from all over the world. Each stone is set to
reflect sound in a unique way producing an optimized room - ideal for vocals and acoustic
instruments. The 1" x 12" x 1" wall coverings is a rich wood milled right
here in Ambler around the turn of the Century - 1896...
The floor is heated from
below. We have achieved temperatures of 92 degrees F great for sessions during the freezing cold winter
(you won't get cold feet). And in the summer, the floor is nice and cool
-- a great break from the heat.
There are many ancient symbols good fortune cut
into the stone. Some of the stone inlay work is aligned to the
magnetic lines of the Earth and stars. All of the stones are 1-1/2 inches
thick and some weigh in at 85 lbs. each.
Overhead colored 12 volt LED spot lights that produce the same light has
halogens but at a fraction of the heat and electrical cost. These lights
can be aimed and dimmed/brightened - ideal for photo or video shoots. The energy
of the room opens a vortex of creativity for your recording session.
