We have many workshops that you may attend, some are free and some have a
registration fee.
Once a month we do a workshop called
Songwriters' Craft workshop (generally the 4th Thursday of the month).
Workshop goals include:
Writing commercial "hit" songs that
publishers are looking for
Making demos that sound
like a hit record
Getting songs published and recorded by
artists
Slot-1 is also host to the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter
of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) monthly workshop.
A co-writing workshop is held the 3rd Sunday of the month, 3-6 PM,
where songwriters break into small groups to write using NSAI
guidelines. Songwriter demos are also recorded.
Music industry discussions on topics including publishing, networking, and
more. Tuition is free for NSAI members, $15 for non-members.
